কুরআনে মৌমাছির জন্য স্ত্রীলিঙ্গ ক্রিয়াপদ ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে। আধুনিক কীটতত্ত্ব নিশ্চিত করে যে শ্রমিক মৌমাছি - যারা মধু সংগ্রহ করে - সবাই মহিলা।
