In 1929, Edwin Hubble discovered that galaxies are moving away from each other, proving that the universe is expanding - a fact mentioned in the Quran 1400 years ago.

وَالسَّمَاءَ بَنَيْنَاهَا بِأَيْدٍ وَإِنَّا لَمُوسِعُونَ

And the heaven We constructed with strength, and indeed, We are [its] expander.
